Hinnies is voted diners choice!
Our client Hinnies Restaurant in Whitley Bay has been keeping us busy after being announced the ‘Diners’ Choice’ by restaurant-goers in North East according to OpenTable, the world’s leading reservation booking system.
The restaurant, which only opened in February on the sea front, is already making its mark with thousands of customers rating it as one of the best eateries in the region.
Every customer who books through the OpenTable system is asked to judge a restaurant based on key factors such as food, service, ambiance, value and “Fit for Foodies”. Hinnies has been scoring the highest mark over the last two months in all areas, especially ambiance and food.
OpenTable is the world's leading provider of online restaurant reservations, seating more than 15 million diners per month via online bookings across more than 31,000 restaurants.
Hinnies was opened in February 2016 serving Geordie Comfort Food using local and seasonal produce by Andy Hook and business partner Dave Townsley. Andy already owns the award-winning Blackfriars Restaurant and this venture sees his return to the coast ten years after he sold Sidney’s in Tynemouth. Sidney’s helped to see a resurgence in quality restaurants in the village and Andy is now hoping more restaurants will follow suit in Whitley Bay.
Andy Hook, managing director of Hinnies said: “We are delighted to receive this acknowledgement from OpenTable diners so early after opening and that we’re flying the flag for Whitley Bay. We are proud to know that these diners thoroughly enjoyed their overall experience and have given us such high marks. Blackfriars won OpenTable ‘Best Fit for Foodies’ in the North East 2015 so we’re thrilled that Hinnies is following suit”.
The Uniquethinking team has ensured maximum exposure of the award in the regional and national media and social media.
