BIPC funded coaching
Congratulations, your application for fully funded coaching has been approved!
Before your first session, here are a few guidelines of what the coaching will include and how to prepare for your first session:
1) Description of Coaching: I am a qualified Coach, NLP Practitioner, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Strengthscope Practitioner and also an Expert in Residence for the BIPC North East. I have been self-employed for the past 25 years with businesses including a PR and marketing company, a restaurant chain and a coaching practice, so I will combine my business, marketing and coaching knowledge along with my experience to support you.
The partnership between us will be a thought-provoking and creative process and is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional, or business goals.
Topics typically covered in coaching sessions (depending on your objectives) include:
– Discussing current challenges being faced in your business and exploring solutions
– Identifying what’s unique about you as a business owner along with your strengths and core values
– Conducting a Strengthscope® report – this is a psychometric test which will highlight your 7 significant strengths which we can then look maximise in your business as well as your drainers – the ones which you should avoid!
– Analysing any limiting beliefs that may be holding you back as a business owner and reframing them to create better outcomes
– Providing mindset tips to increase confidence and reduce anxieties
– Assistance with decisions with regards to your business
– Help with moving out of your comfort zone to move your business forward
– Business plan formulation or development
– Marketing coaching – empowering you to improve your PR, social media, enewsletters, networking, sales or website
– Agreeing and reviewing goals with accountability sessions
– Making referrals and introductions to my contacts
– Work on your business sessions to help with clarity and direction
Within the 12 hours, the coaching includes 10 hours of coaching time and 2 hours for preparation and follow up time. The sessions will last 2-3 hours each and will be held every 2- 4 weeks. There is some flexibility in this ie if you would like an away day morning or day. If you have opted for 6 hours of coaching, 1 of these will be spent with preparation/follow up and 5 for coaching. If you opt to have a Strengthscope® report, this will cover 2 hours of your time to pay for each report. I can do other tasks in the time such as writing and submitting a press release, copywriting, appraising print/online promotion or market research.
2) Location of coaching sessions: Coaching sessions can be held at Uniquethinking, Dobson House, Regent Farm Road, Newcastle, NE3 3PF or on Zoom. Directions to find me and where to park/public transport are here. I can travel to your location but travel time will need to be deducted from the 12 hours.
3) Preparation work before your first session: Please can you email me your business plan if you have one (don’t worry if you don’t have these as we can create a short workable version) and also think about what your objectives are for coaching as this will be the first thing we will discuss.
4) In between sessions: Please can you work on the action points we have agreed at our session so that you can update me when we next meet. Please treat your goals as a priority and make time to work on them as this will help you to move your business forward.
5) Confidentiality: This coaching relationship, as well as all information (documented or verbal) that you share with me as part of this relationship, is bound by the principles of confidentiality set forth in the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I agree not to disclose any information pertaining to you without your consent unless it is considered that you are in danger of being harmed or harming others/yourself.
6) Record Retention Policy: I will store your information on a secure Cloud and/or in a locked safe for any printed details. I will keep your records for 2 years after coaching ends unless otherwise agreed.
7) Funding: The 12 hours of coaching time is being funded through the City Life Support Fund, administered by the BIPC North East. After 8 weeks, the BIPC will ask us both to sign and submit timesheet (it doesnt matter if all the hours have not been used at this point as long as we don’t go over too much) and then will pay you the money for my time. Once you receive the money, I will invoice you for the same amount and you have 5 day to pay the invoice. If you are not VAT registered, the VAT for my services will be paid by the BIPC.
8) Cancellation Policy: Please can you notify me 24 hours in advance by email or text of scheduled meetings if a meeting is to be cancelled and I will do the same.
9) Coaching issues: Please can you raise with me anything that you are unhappy about in the coaching relationship either in person, by phone or by email and I will address these concerns by adapting my coaching sessions in the future. If you would like to end your sessions, please can you let me know and I will cancel further appointments with the BIPC.
10) Promotional purposes: I will add you to my email list to receive emails from me occasionally unless requested otherwise. Your information will not be passed to any third party. You may be asked to give a testimonial about the coaching service you received for use on my social media or website and/or the BIPC’s. Permission will be sought first and it is optional.
11) Coaching Ethics: I agree to maintain the ethics and standards of behaviour established by the ICF and NCPS. You will be responsible for creating and implementing your own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and your coaching sessions with me. As such, neither Uniquethinking or the BIPC are liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of the coaching provided.
12) Referrals and Introductions: Where relevant, I will share my contacts and make referrals to you and also encourage you to network with my other business clients. I run a number of networking events per year and will email details of those events to you. If you do not wish me to share your details with other clients if I see a potential collaboration, please let me know. Similarly, if you do not wish to mention we are working together at all, please let me know at our first session.
13) Additional sessions: If you would like to continue with sessions after the 12 hours, I offer accountability sessions where you can purchase one session or a block of sessions. This enables you to keep up the momentum of setting goals and gives you accountability to achieve them.
14) Ongoing support: I have also set up a Whatsapp community group called Uniquethinking Business Hub where you can ask questions or recommendations from other clients, promote your business and enables me to let you know of new opportunities and events. If you would like to join the group, please let me know and I will add you.
If you have any queries before we begin working together, please can you email me on sam@uniquethinking.co.uk or call me on 0795 7551810.
I look forward to working with you and helping you to grow you and your business.
