Your mindset is a set of beliefs you have about yourself and the world.

When you have a fixed mindset you consider your talents, intelligence, creativity and skills to be ‘fixed’ and tell yourself you are just what you are. You’re convinced it’s talent that gets you where you want to be rather than hard work, and you avoid challenges and looking like a failure.

You hate criticism, give up easily and feel threatened by other’s success. When you have a growth mindset you think your talents, intelligence, creativity and skills can improve over time with hard work and experience. You accept criticism as useful feedback, find inspiration in other’s success and embrace a challenge/persevere in the face of failure. Your mindset changes throughout the day and you can strengthen your growth mindset with time and practice. Just being aware of your thinking is a start.
