About Counsellor in Newcastle
Hello, I’m Sam Hook, a Life Coach, Business Coach and Counsellor in Newcastle and I help clients to feel more confident at work, in their business or in any aspect of their life.
As well as 1-1 coaching sessions in person and on Zoom, I run a number of coaching programmes and workshops aimed at increasing your confidence, reducing your negative beliefs, getting your mojo back, giving your clarity about your direction and helping you to feel excited about the future.
Prior to coaching, I ran a successful PR company for 18 years, and combine my business experience and coaching know-how to offer business coaching to help small business owners keep focused, motivated and working on goals to facilitate their growth. I am also an Expert in Residence for the North East BIPC offering support to business owners.
My mission is to see everyone have access to a coach and I volunteer for charities including Smart Works Newcastle, which helps women across the North East to find employment with the support of coaching and interview clothes, the Girls Network mentoring girls in the North East, and I’m a volunteer counsellor for various charities in the North East.
If you’re looking to feel happier, more confident and to achieve amazing results in your personal and professional life, you are in the right place.

What our customers say
I have really enjoyed my life coaching sessions with Sam. She has a lovely manner which makes her very approachable and easy to talk to (and fun!). We spent time looking at my achievements so far and what skills I had developed for those, moving on to looking at my values and how they shaped my decisions. I found it really invaluable and it helped me gain much more confidence. I use the accountability sessions to keep me motivated and working towards my goals.

Dobson House is located opposite the swimming pool in Gosforth. If you are travelling by public transport, we are a few minutes’ walk from Regent Centre Metro Station (turn right out of Metro station and turn first right past Regent Centre towards the swimming pool).
If you are driving, there is visitor car parking outside Dobson House. On Regent Farm Road as you pass the swimming pool on your left you will approach a roundabout, turn right and go down a small hill (you will see a sign for Omnia in front of you), turn right here and keep following the road around until you get to the front of Dobson House which is next to Arden’s Cafe. You will need to download the Pay by Phone app and pay this way. (NB the first hour is free).
