If you need some recommendations, you might be interested to know about Ciara Armstrong who has recently launched an online bookshop and book club dedicated to horrors, thrillers, and true crime called Blood Strong Books.
I first met Ciara while I was coaching enterprising students and graduates at Northumbria University, and was impressed how she was turning her lifelong passion for the darker genres into a growing business that’s already capturing the attention of readers across the UK.
Her business now curates over 300 hand-selected titles, featuring themed collections such as Body Horror and Folk Horror, as well as celebrating female and non-binary authors and diverse voices.
Through our business coaching sessions, Ciara has been working on building her confidence as a business owner, stepping out of her comfort zone, and developing a clear vision for the next stage of her business journey including plans for a physical bookshop and community hub in the future.
