The good news is that you can often feel better just by changing one thought.
1 Name the feeling you are having.
2 Name the thought in charge of the feeling. A feeling can’t exist without a thought that’s created it (this may take a thought download as it’s not always the first thought you think of so dig a bit deeper and see if you can find the cause)
3 Create a new thought – the key is it has to be believable ie if your thought iie there is no point saying “I am thin” if you are feeling overweight as you won’t believe it. You could say “I have a healthy body” or even “I have a body” so take out the negative.
Here’s another example:
I’m angry because I burnt the cake
I’m a failure
Replacement thought: I have made a cake
You can experiment with thoughts until you find one that works for you.
